Description

American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a post-acute skilled nursing rehab unit, requiring 1+ year of experience and recent EPIC experience.

Details

Skilled nursing rehabilitation unit within a post-acute care setting
Patient population consists of adults aged 60+ requiring skilled nursing rehab
Nurse to patient ratio of 1:14 with ancillary and LNA/CNA/PCT support available
Unit clerk support provided on day shift only
Uses EPIC for both documentation and medication administration
Special equipment includes IV pumps
Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, patient transports, nebulizer to inhaler conversions, and IV starts
12-hour day shift schedule, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
Schedule varies with no guaranteed days off or weekends unless specified in contract
Must be available to work all holidays
May float occasionally/as needed to long-term care or memory care units

Requirements

License required if applicable
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
Minimum 1 year of experience in specialty preferred
Recent EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
Dementia capable care certification preferred
IV certification preferred
Reliable personal transportation required due to lack of public transit access
Vehicle should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April

Additional Information

Provide direct patient care including medication administration, phlebotomy, EKGs, IV starts, and transports within a skilled nursing rehab setting
Work alongside ancillary staff and LNA/CNA/PCT support
Bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays
Holiday coverage required
No block scheduling permitted
Local candidates accepted
